In the session on digital communication, Octaviniant Aspary discussed the importance of information resilience through digital intelligence. This material emphasizes that society not only consumes information, but also continuously makes digital decisions: evaluating, trusting, sharing and acting on the information received.
"In the digital space, communication is not only about conveying messages, but also helping people evaluate information before it is trusted, shared and used as a basis for action. Digital intelligence is an important communication competency so that society is more resilient in facing misinformation and a flood of information," said Octaviniant.
Through this material, participants were invited to see that digital intelligence is not just the ability to use technology, but the ability to communicate responsibly in the digital space. In this context, communication plays an important role in building literacy, managing digital behavior, and helping people sort out relevant and accountable information.
From a CSR communication perspective, Mirana Hanathasia highlighted the importance of communication models in sustainable social innovation programs. According to him, the success of social programs is not only determined by the implementation of activities, but also by the way the organization builds relationships, listens to community needs, and conveys program benefits appropriately.
"In social innovation programs, CSR communication does not just stop at publicizing activities. What is important is how the organization listens to community needs, builds trust, and ensures that program benefits can be understood and felt in a sustainable manner," said Mirana.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mochammad Kresna Noer discussed the importance of stakeholder experience in global scale activities. She emphasized that international activities need to be seen not only from the perspective of organizing the event, but also from the quality of experience of the participants, partners and communities involved.
"Global activities are not only judged by the smoothness of the event, but also from the experience of the stakeholders. When participants, partners and communities feel involved, loyalty to the collaboration agenda will grow stronger," said Kresna.
From a Political Science perspective, Asmiati Abdul Malik discussed the relationship between global pragmatism, national idealism and crisis communication in the context of government administration. This material shows how public communication plays an important role in shaping perceptions, maintaining trust, and explaining the position of institutions in the midst of political dynamics.
"In a communication crisis situation, the government and public institutions must be able to maintain a balance between national interests and global pressures. Public messages need to be clear, consistent, and sensitive to public perceptions," said Asmiati.
Apart from presenting the material, this activity is also designed in a participatory manner through interactive discussions, questions and answers, group brainstorming, case analysis, group presentations, and feedback from facilitators. This format provides space for participants to connect academic concepts with real problems faced by society.
Through this activity, Bakrie University emphasizes its commitment to strengthening international collaboration, expanding academic networks, and presenting impactful scientific contributions. It is hoped that the collaboration with UiTM Malaysia will open up opportunities for further collaboration in the fields of research, community service and cross-border academic activities.
